Mark Beaumont is an adventurer, documentary maker and author. In 2008 he broke the Guinness World Record for the fastest circumnavigation of the globe by bicycle. He recently returned from an attempt to break the World Record for rowing across the Atlantic. After 27 days at sea and 2000 miles, his boat capsized and he spent 14 hours in a life raft before being rescued. Mark has selffilmed three BBC1 documentaries, published two books and is a prolific social network blogger. Tonight Mark will be talking about each of his four major expeditions with film clips and photography and sharing is passion for adventure, culture and the extremes of human endurance in what promises to be a fascinating evening.
