Martin Amis' new book takes the form of a novella and two stories. House of Meetings, the title of the book and the novella, is a triangular love story set in post-war Moscow, while the two stories are informed by very recent political events in the USA and the Middle East. All three focus on Amis' preoccupation with the nature of masculinity and the connections between male sexuality and violence. Amis reads from and discusses his new work.
