Biographer Michael Holroyd is Chairman of the Royal Society of Literature and one of the country's most distinguished men of letters. In 1999 he published Basil Street Blues, in which he turned his attention to his family. As the letters from readers arrived, he discovered an extraordinary narrative that his own memoir had only touched on. He shall read from this latest set of memoirs, Mosaic, that show the strange, interconnectedness of all our family lives.
