One of the country's best-loved and most respected crime writers, PD James became a full-time writer late in life with her first novel 'Cover her face', published in 1966. Many more have followed, often featuring that superior detective and poet, Adam Dalgleish. Many of her stories have been successfully adapted for TV and radio. Her reputation has become international with awards from Britain, America, Italy and Scandanavia. She will be signing books prior to her talk in the Weir Hall Library adjacent to the theatre Foyer from 18:30.
