Details

Roy Foster's brilliant second volume of biography, The Arch-Poet, is the definitive account of Yeats at the height of his powers. Beginning in 1915, Foster situates the poetry in the events from which they sprang; political revolution, an extraordinary marriage, tumultuous love affairs and the drama of the emerging Irish State. The event is chaired by poet and critic Tom Paulin.
