The Memory Man
T0
Dominic O'Brien, 8 times winner of the World Memory Championship and current holder of that title, who once memorised 2808 playing cards in 12 hours, meets the pre-eminent biologist, Professor Steven Rose, whose subject is the chemical basis for memory, and author of From Brains to Consciousness: Essays in the New Sciences of the Mind. They present a fascinating evening in two parts to round off our season on Memory and Amnesia. Mr O'Brien will demonstrate the power of human memory and talk about our ability to extend and improve it, and Rose will be explaining from a scientific viewpoint precisely how this capacity functions. A neurological tour of a remarkable mind.
