Many young western Muslims go on voyages of discovery to places like Pakistan in an attempt to reconnect with their Islamic identity. What is the idea of the Umma, or the global religious community of Islamic believers? Speakers: Rageh Omaar, reporter for Al-Jazeera and the BBC and author of Only Half of Me: Being a Muslim in Britain. Jason Burke; Chief Reporter on The Observer and author of On the Road to Kandahar; Azzam Tamimi, Director of the Islamic Centre of Islamic Thought in London.
