Eight performers in a line of dazzling smiles, dead eyes, sequinned lycra, tottering heels and loud check suites. First Night begins with a grand welcome but soon disintegrates into haughty predictions of the future, escapology acts, unexpected dances and unhinged showbiz anecdotes. A variety night where the acts always seem to end in either insult or injury and the darkness offstage is no longer safe.
