An unusual cocktail of entertainment to make you sit up and take notice. Harriet Goodwin has worked with Opera North and British Youth Opera, her fine soprano illuminating a variety of operas and recitals. Mezzo-soprano Judith Tinston has made many stage appearances and featured on BBC television. Geetha Sridhar presents an exquisite collage of Bharathanatyam. Geetha's piece is called Margam (the chosen path) and represents the traditional offering of dance, encompassing mesmeric mime, thrilling technique and melodious music in a showcase of this classical artform. In contrast Sonia Sabri's Kathak dance promises a taste of this diverse and versatile North Indian classical dance style. The programme is completed by a lively traditional Bhangra dance troupe.
