Perhaps a bit churlish to review this show as I was really just there for a fun night out. And I had a great fun night out so that is fine. As did pretty well everyone there. But really, the sound quality was dreadful, you could barely hear the lyrics (which we all knew anyway!), couldn't make head nor tail of the announcements and missed any quality of subtelty in the keyboard or guitar. Further from the stage the sound balance was a little better but nowhere was it good )perhaps sound engineers can't cope with working in the amusement arcade at the end of the pier?!). Singing and harmonies were fine but the choreography was phoned in but what disappointed most was the lack of costume changes - not even the whisking off of the sparkly ponchos they wore over the lycra undersuits (no, they are not dressed as seen on the poster, nor are they the same performers) ....
In summary, I was technically disappointed but an evening of Abba music always makes me smile so I had a good time despite this ...
