Rambert's The Celebrated Soubrette

{Rambert Dance Company::s887} has brought a new work into its repertoire: [Javier de Frutos] s The Celebrated Soubrette. Born in Venezuela de Frutos fascination with Tennessee Williams inspired him to draw on the glamour and contrasts of Las Vegas, a place that, like many of Williams plays, is bursting with life s winners and losers. The new work uses both by the city s claustrophobic atmosphere and the music and showmanship of [Michael Daugherty] s Le Tombeau de Liberace. Also on the programme at {Festival Theatre, Edinburgh::v600} are [Christopher Bruce] s Ghost Dances and [Glen Tetley] s Embrace Tiger and Return to Mountain.
