User Notices

The UKTW website has been collecting notices submitted by users since 1995, however, with the advent of GDPR in May 2018 it was necessary to "clean up" the datbase. An email was sent out to all the email addresses registered as having submitted a notice asking if they wanted us to keep it - we were only able to keep those who gave us explicit permission so most of the notices were deleted (people's emails had not remained the same over the 23 years!). Whilst this was a shame it was necessary to comply with the new legislation. All notices added after 1st May 2018 are compliant with the new legislation.

Calling to Actors/Dancers
Jobs Offered: CALLING FOR AUDITIONS To participate in a professional production and the debut of a graduate creator from the SCHOOL OF PHYSICAL THEATRE. The show will open on Tuesday 27th of June finishing on the Saturday 1st of July 2006. The rehearsals will be held in the evenings and weekends. This will be at Waterhouse Studios at Three Mills Media Center, Three Mill Lane, Bromley-By-Bow E3 3DU. It’s a new play entitled NEUROSIS by Itzel Mayoral. The piece is divided in two realities and both of them are overlapped. There are three main characters: Rebecca, Lawrence, and Harry. Rebecca is torn between these two men. The confusing situation evolves into an increasing obsession and fears awaken in the two main characters. Even when we get the impression that Rebecca is going through similar emotional spaces to the two male characters, what actually happens is the opposite. Rebecca is finding herself through them, which unconsciously makes them go to odd and disquieting places. Rebecca is not alone. She makes up 5 different Rebeccas. These 5 characters appear and Rebecca talks to them as if she is with a real person. These 5 Rebeccas are merciless and provoking. The piece is directed by Ron East director of the SCHOOL OF PHYSICAL THEATRE. He has over 30 years experience as an actor, director, playwright, and master teacher. He performed with the Stratford Shakespearean Festival for three seasons and earning a Sir Tyrone Guthrie award for his work. He trained at Ecole Internationale de Theatre Jacques Lecoq in Paris, and is a certificate instructor of the Lecoq method of physical theatre training. He has performed in Canada, US, and Europe, written, directed, and produced 18 original plays, as well as directing with other professional companies. He also acts as a consultant for film and TV. He has taught with the National Ballet, Stratford Festival in Europe, as well as operating his own school for 20 years. TWO MALE CHARACTERS: 1. Lawrence: he has a melancholic energy. He is reserved, respectful, hard-worker, quiet and rather an ordinary guy: a good man. 2. Harry: he’s over confident. Likes to make jokes and show off. He’s not the best looking guy, but he likes dressing well, smelling good, and taking care of his body. AUDITIONS ARE ON TUESDAY APRIL 25TH from 7:00pm to 9:00pm and ALSO ON WEDNESDAY APRIL 26TH 2006 from 7:00pm to 9:00pm. Both of at the address above. You will need to prepare 2 minutes of choreography of your preference (bring your CD). Afterwards you’ll read some of the lines of the character- the one we think you are suitable for- Finally you will improvise a dance choreography with the actress playing the main female role. If you are interested send your CV and picture to school@physicaltheatre.com. If easier by mailing post to the address above. If you have any enquiries email to address above or call to:020.8215.3350 This is non-paying work. Everyone involved is professional so it is expected the same commitment from those accepted into the show.

Salsa Dancers for charity music video

Slasa Dancers for charity music video
Jobs Offered: We are currently working on a celebrity charity music video, something along the lines of last year's Peter Kay Amarillo video. As it's for charity we are shooting this for free and it should be a really fun project to work on. However I need to find some professional dancers who would be prepared to come in for one day casting and rehearsal with a choreographer and a one day shoot. It would be great exposure as the video will be shown nationally. I will need the dancing talents of 3 guys and 3 girls who are trained dancers who can do salsa dancing. You don't have to be a specialist but given time constraints, you will be expected to pick up the choreography quickly. The casting will take place on the morning of this Wednesday 8th March and rehearsal will take place the same afternoon. The shoot will be on the Thursday 9th March. We will pay reasonable expenses for those cast. Travel etc If you are interested or know anyone who might be, please contact me on any of the details below or send me your cv and photo via email.
