Prizewinners at the 2015 Wigmore Hall International String Quartet Competition, the Piatti Quartet makes its Lakeside debut. The achingly melancholic variations of Purcell's Chacony open the concert. Borodin's second quartet, dedicated to his wife, is a heartfelt, joyful evocation of their love spanning 20 years. Beethoven's music will feature regularly throughout 2020 as we celebrate the 250th anniversary of his birth.

She has toured the United Arab Emirates, Tunisia (British Council), USA, Ireland, the Channel Islands and Spain and has performed in prestigious halls across the UK including the Wigmore Hall and South Bank Centre. Winners of the St. Martins/Making Music Chamber Music Competition 2010, the Tunnell Trust Award and consecutive finalists in the 2009 and 2010 Royal Overseas League, the Piatti Quartet are fast emerging as one of the UK’s leading young string quartets.
