User Review: 17Nov21: Acting was good, story line rubbish and we were promised amazing special effects, still waiting for those. This was bought as a present for my daughter and we both thought it was the biggest waste of money. Very very disappointing.

Jt (18Feb22): Very disappointed. Still clueless as to what was happening. Actors made the best of an awful script that was fragmented and confusing. Best avoided. 1
Linda Warner (05Dec21): Sound system awful most of the cast spent time talking facing the back of the stage. American accents meant it was very hard to follow. Would have left at half time none the wiser about anything that was going on but meal booking was later. Don’t waste your money! 1
Jane Tew (02Dec21): Sound was poor, difficult to understand what some of the actors were saying. Didn’t understand what was going on. Nearly left in interval but stayed in the hope it might become clear, it didn’t 1
Marian Dodd (17Nov21): Acting was good, story line rubbish and we were promised amazing special effects, still waiting for those. This was bought as a present for my daughter and we both thought it was the biggest waste of money. Very very disappointing. 1
D. McAllister (10Nov21): The acting was good, the theatrics were good but you really had to concentrate to follow the story. Myself and my 16 y.o. daughter enjoyed it though and thought it was worth going to see. 3
Julie (07Nov21): Wasn't the Legend of Sleepy Hollow only but a combination of legends of demons and folklore. Left an impression on me and I enjoyed it. Cast good but the scariest thing was the possibility someone would fall off that ladder. 4
Rob (06Nov21): I agree with others a very convoluted script ... some of the sound was poor difficult to understand the very talented cast ... I had to google the story in the interval ... so I could understand it ... then it changed and made up its own version especially the ending ... extremely hardworking talented cast , great set leg down by the confusing direction and script 3
Pauline (05Nov21): I thought I was given hallucogenic drugs in my drink before the show. Absolute garbage! 1
Sarah (05Nov21): Disappointed. With 2 Corrie legends ss leads expected more. They were excellent but the script let them down. Great casting. Poor production. Still no wiser what it was all about. Very confused plot. 1
Charles Rogerson (01Nov21): So confusing didn't enjoy left in interval. 1
Hugh Cowan (01Nov21): Really looking forward to our return to the Yvonne Arnaud after such a long time. It was a pity that Sleepy Hollow was the play. Could hardly work out what the actors were saying and the script was so convoluted as to make understanding impossible. We didn't even know what teh characters names were! The acting itself was good and the set was impressive but as a play we were completely loss. We never did work out what "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow" was!! 1
Harry Ryan (30Oct21): The cast were very enthusiastic and the set was very well designed. However, the plot was convoluted and confusing, leaving me questioning what happened at the end, it was not adapted from the film or book. They had some good ideas like the moving of sets being a dance but it was very overused and the story telling aspect was very confusing and done too much. Overall it was fun to watch and the actors were enthusiastic but the plot was sub par. 2
Jen Edwards (29Oct21): Very confusing story line. Props were poor. Some people left at interval, I couldn't wait for it to end. 1
Tracy Brooks - Oldham Coliseum performance (28Oct21): We actually quite enjoyed this. The actors were fab but I agree that the script led a bit of a confusing tale. Overall a nice evening at the Rep, and my daughter has a new crush 3
GABRIELLE AMANTE (12Oct21): I was really looking forward to this but the story was NOT adapted from the book and very confusing. Wendi Peters was very good with a poor script. Overall disappointed. 1
Spence (11Oct21): Could not wait for it to end 1
Roy McGregor (06Oct21): Very disappointed with most of the performance. Poor sound, no tension at all. First-night audience in York seemed unimpressed. Wendi Peters was the best of a poor bunch. 2
