CORONAVIRUS: All UK venues closed on 16th March 2020 but restrictions were lifted on 19th July 2021 with venues free to run shows to full capacity audiences after that though there are still issues with company members being forced to self-isolate on being 'pinged'. Information for How we Love at Arcola, Inner London (Play). Gay investigative journalist Babatunde âBabs' Okonkwo visits his lesbian best friend Regina âRegi' Abengowe in Lewisham. With mounting pressures back in Nigeria, where homosexuality is illegal and escalating dangers for their partners, Babs and Regi hatch a plan to get married with the help of Regi's 89-year-old German Jewish neighbour and the âMr & Mrs' Board Game. They hope this âcover' will stop the threatening rumours and allow Babs to safely expose the inhumane treatment of LGBTQIA+ people in Nigeria, especially in the north where being gay is publishable by death. how we love is a play about different types of love.
