The story of Terence Mac Swiney, Lord Mayor of Cork, who died while on hunger strike at the hands of the British in Brixton Prison in 1920. The play also includes the story of Tomas Mac Curtain, another Lord Mayor of Cork, this time shot by the British earlier in the year.
