Raised in Montmartre, with a father that would jam in St Germain des Pres with Sydney Bechet, Anne Pigalle is the only solo French singer to have ever signed a recording contract with a British label Anne raconte en chansons her unusual story within the history of Cabaret . As well as being a chanteuse, Anne Pigalle is an Artiste. She revamped The Cafe de Paris on Picadilly with the infamous nights Les Nuits du Mercredi that will attract stars such as as Bowie and Warhol ; She has had numerous art exhibitions and won a prize at the Portobello film Festival in 2019 for a film she made about the Soho community :'The Soho Connection' . She regularly holds salons in Soho and discusses naughty poetry. Hailed by the French press as the illegitimate daughter of Piaf and Gainsbourg, Anne has sung all over the world including Japan, the last Tuareg festival au desert held in Timbuktu, Mexico and the USA. Anne has worked with various music giants such as Michael Nyman, Trevor Horn, Adrian Sherwood and Leonard Cohen's musicians.
