As a writer, Russ won the Gold Medal in the New York Film & Television Festival and a slew of other awards, including a much-coveted Sony Radio Award for ?Best Use Of Comedy'. Through pure accident the stage beckoned and nine years of panto followed, working alongside some of the legendary names of British entertainment ? yes, including Sooty, Postman Pat & Mr Blobby.
