Set in New York in the early 1980's, this powerful, passionate and controversial play was the first to treat seriously the poignant and awesome subject of AIDS. It follows a writer's struggle to break through indifference and hypocrisy surrounding the killer disease and his attempt to draw attention to the plight of gay community in contemporary America.
