NEW is a weeklong showcase of new writing, which returns in 2018 for a fifth year. The College's Richard Burton Company will premiere four new plays in Cardiff before transferring to London's Gate Theatre. Following the success of Dafydd James' All That I Am in 2016, and Conor Mitchell's The Last Ambulance in 2017, we will be collaborating with Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama once again, this time on a new play by Katherine Chandler, the writer of the acclaimed Bird. Our production for NEW: 2018 will be the first from our new Associate Director David Mercatali.
