
Information for Dame Eileen Atkins: In Conversation with Richard Digby Day at Theatre at the Tabard, Outer London (Talk). Dame Eileen is perhaps best known for her work in the theatre, where she has delivered powerful performances in classic and contemporary plays in the West End, on Broadway, at the National Theatre and the RSC. As well as her stage work, she has made significant contributions to television. She co-created the acclaimed period drama classic series Upstairs, Downstairs with fellow actress Jean Marsh in the 1970s. The series explored the lives of both the aristocratic family and their servants in an Edwardian townhouse, offering a nuanced portrayal of British society. The conversation will be about 60 minutes long with an opportunity for a Q&A with the audience afterwards.
