The Bug Hotel

T01370672310
The Bug Hotel is a musical adventure for 0-2 year olds and their grownups. The show celebrates some of Britain's most fabulous, endangered insects through live singing, musical instruments, playful poetry and multi-sensory play. The Bug Hotel invites one family or support bubble at a time into a creatively designed gazebo - a comfortable and relaxing space to enjoy live interactive music-making as well as a chance to play and connect with their babies. The experience is intimate and bespoke, welcoming parents & carers and their children into a haven of music and imagination where, together, they can enjoy live performance and music, something we have sorely missed over the last year. Families will choose one of four bugs to meet at the hotel - Tiger the Moth, Ruby the Wasp, Shrill the Carder Bee or Hornet the Robber Fly. Babies will be introduced to the selected insect through playful improvised music, classical repertoire and sensory props. Musicians will animate a miniature world above the heads of babies and adults using puppetry, shadow play and projections filling it with playful, magical and soothing sounds. The Bug Hotel is place that bugs come to relax and rejuvenate - a hideaway to be found at the bottom of a garden or tucked away beneath a tree. We invite families to escape our world and join the insects on their summer holidays. Each experience will last around 15 minutes and will be tailored to the individual family or bubble.
