CORONAVIRUS:All UK venues closed on 16th March 2020 and look like staying closed until March 2021 with the exception of a few, patchy, openings (and subsequent closures) towards the end of 2020. Some open-air, drive-in venues have been opened for periods and many shows are now streaming on-line. Sadly, some venues and shows may not survive. We are updating our listings as much as possible to reflect the changes as they are reported.
About the Show/Event
Information for Choir Boy at Playhouse, Nottingham (Play). When you singing them songs... he say, 'I can see where we going and where we come from.' Determined to make his mark like those before him Pharus is hell bent on being the best choir leader in the school's 50 year history. But in a world built on rites and rituals, how will he conform to expectations and gain the respect he desperately needs? Tarell Alvin McCraney's piercing play set in an all boys, all black, American prep school scores a gospel refrain of the politics of minority and masculinity.
Author Tarell Alvin McCraney. Producer Nottingham Playhouse. Director Nancy Medina.
