Kensuke's Kingdom archiveIt's 1987. Michael and his parents have escaped industrial England and are sailing on an adventure around the world. One night, Michael and his faithful dog Stella Artois accidentally fall off the yacht. Washed up on an island, they soon realise they are not alone - Kensuke, a Japanese man who calls the island his 'kingdom', has been living there since the war, over forty years ago. Despite initial tensions, Kensuke will teach Michael all there is to know about the island, from its beautiful inhabitants to its unwanted visitors.
