Unknown Mortal Orchestra archiveUnknown Mortal Orchestra was founded by the New Zealand-born, Portland, Oregon-based vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Ruban Nielson, in 2011. To date, the band have released three albums, with their fourth due for release on 6 April. Unknown Mortal Orchestra will play their largest London show to date at the Royal Albert Hall, as part of our Albert Sessions! Sex & Food will see Nielson filter themes such as ?What are we consuming? How is it affecting us, and why does everything feel so bad and weird sometimes?? through a vibrant sonic lens which spans battered drum-machine funk, doomy and thrashing rock and pink-hued psychedelic disco.
