Rambert Dance Company - Ghost Dances and other works
Britain's biggest and most exciting touring dance company who often tour two programmes at a time. Dancing to a mixture of musical styles they provide enormously watchable evenings. Christopher Bruce's masterpiece, Ghost Dances, is possibly the most popular work in Rambert's history. It tells stories of love and compassion, as death - in the form of the iconic 'ghost dancers' - interrupts the daily lives of a series of ordinary people. Visually referencing the Day of the Dead, and driven by bewitching Latin American folk music, it is a moving, intensely human work. This triple bill also includes a brand new dance theatre creation by rising star Ben Duke, inspired by the music and spirit of Nina Simone, with a selection of her best-loved songs performed on stage. Completing the programme is an all-action work by internationally acclaimed choreographer Andonis Foniadakis. Rambert Dance Company - Ghost Dances and other works website
