A Midsummer Night's Dream archiveOn a midsummer's night Hermia and her lover Lysander flee from Athens and Demetrius - the man Hermia's father favours as a son-in-law. Demetrius follows, pursued by Helena who loves him in spite of being spurned in favour of Hermia. On the same night Bottom and his friends leave Athens to find somewhere quiet to rehearse their play which is to be performed at the wedding feast of Duke Theseus. Drawn into the woods they enter a world of magic, mystery and wonder. The Fools are dusting off their instruments and stepping back into the great outdoors, with a riotous, three-hander version of A Midsummer Night's Dream. Prepare for a post-lockdown Shakespearean adventure like no other before. Catch us as we dash around the UK, for a show packed with live music-making, raucous story-telling and typically British social-distancing. Bring your own blankets, cushions, and camping-chairs and join us on our outdoor adventure. Come prepared for the weather - the performance will continue come rain come shine!
