Isabel is a bright, witty, fiercely independent woman. As she prepares to get her house in order, a series of encounters with an old friend and her two sons begin to reveal Isabel's past. In a succession of funny, startling and poignant exchanges, home truths are confronted, but what are the family secrets and hidden regrets which are revealed? And will this proud mother, wife and friend be able to make peace with her family, and herself?
