Leading UK tenor saxophonist Matt Telfer celebrates the greatest jazz recordings from one of the world most prestigious record labels, Blue Note. Started in 1939, Blue Note has been releasing hit records for over 70 years with a roster over 200 artists. This exciting project cherry picks the very best Blue Note tunes from artists such as Wayne Shorter, Herbie Hancock, Lee Morgan, Art Blakey and Freddie Hubbard. Matt is accompanied by a first class rhythm section with Dominic Bentham – Double Bass, Liam Stevens – Piano, Alex Babic – Drums. The Best Of Blue Note takes a wide and varied look at all the different styles of jazz genre. Expect a night of Latin Jazz, Blues and fast swing with a touch of humour.
