Ebrahim Hamedi, better known as Ebi, is considered by many to be the best contemporary Iranian pop singer. He is acknowledged for his unique, warm baritone voice and for his outstanding ballads. Having started his career over 40 years ago, he is a well-established star with fans all over the world. Ebi’s unique style and charming personality have attracted fans of all ages. Ebi was born in Tehran in 1949 and started his career with two bands: the ‘Sun Boys’ and the ‘Black Cats’. It wasn’t until the early 1970’s that Ebi started to pursue a solo career. He shot to fame in the mid 1970’s with 5 number one hits.
