This beautifully programmed recital demonstrates Angela Hewitt's affinity with the Baroque. The first half comprises Bach's virtuosic yet lyrical Partita No.4 and Beethoven's famous Moonlight Sonata - perhaps the best-known work in the piano repertoire. The second half features a selection of sonatas by Domenico Scarlatti and Ravel's tribute to Scarlatti's near-contemporary, Fran?ois Couperin. Royal Festival Hall
