Set in 1934, The Most Happy Fella
is a lighthearted musical of mistaken identity. Complications arise when Tony Esposito, an ageing vineyard owner, proposes marriage by mail to Rosabella, a young waitress who has served him in a San Francisco restaurant. Fearing she will reject him, Tony sends a picture of his handsome ranch hand, Jo. And Rosabella accepts.
