A Verse and A Chorus follows James, an ordinary man yearning to escape his ordinary life. He aches to be famous, and why shouldn t he be? He reads all the 'gutter-to-the-stars biographies, watches every reality TV series, hangs around outside the hottest night spots, practises pilates like all the big names and even has a macrobiotic diet. So when he sees an ad in the Manchester Evening News about auditions to find 'the next big thing , he knows this is his best chance to make it big.
