Asena archiveInspired by true stories, this is a play about the horrors of sex trafficking through the eyes of a young Albanian woman, Asena. Locked in a dismal room with no windows and no furniture except a single bed, Asena is left alone free of clients while the brothel minder goes home for his dinner. She has one precious hour to herself where she can release her anguish on the four walls and reflect on the six stolen years she has spent at the hands of her traffickers. Is there any hope of a future or has her life been irrevocably changed?
