Civil archiveA solo work by the internationally acclaimed artist Robert Pacitti, Civil is a response to the autobiography The Naked Civil Servant written in 1967 by the recently deceased Quentin Crisp. In an interdisciplinary performance incorporating music, film, interviews and footage with Pacitti and Crisp and digital images, Civil draws on these connections in an attempt to find a common ground - in a search for a real family and a real heritage. An extremely personal work, Civil possesses a calm and fragile beauty that also manages to expose unexpected anger and defiance.
