Enoch Arden archiveSomething is happening in the basement of the Hope Shelter. Jabber, a sometimes homeless man, is trying to rescue his best friend, Ciel. Once a fine pianist, Ciel has shut herself off from the world after the death of her infant. Jabber uses Tennyson's poetry to reach his friend - and although she will not speak, Ciel begins to respond through Strauss' exquisite music. An examination of madness and isolation, Enoch Arden in the Hope Shelter celebrates art in the face of adversity, allowing these forgotten voices to soar.
