Four Beckett Plays archiveNot I, A Piece of Monologue, Ohio Impromptu, Footfalls. Ten years after Beckett's death Questor's present four of his great late works that show his most striking and haunting imagery together in one evening. Not I, a famous or even notorious work of the mid seventies, a woman's mouth spews out a heart-wrenching tale of loneliness and despair. Ohio Impromptu (1981) and A Piece of Monologue (1979) deal with solitude, death and craving for permanence. While Footfalls (1976), one of the most extraordinary theatre works ever written, tells 'the story' of two ghostlike creatures, mother and daughter, inhabiting a hellish realm of their own making.
