Charles Kings haw and his mother move into a country house with Edmund Hooper and his father. The two parents assume their sons will become firm friends over the summer holidays. They couldn't be more wrong. Edmund begins a campaign of fear and deceit on his supposed friend, determined that there can only be one king of the castle.
