The Capeman archiveA musical set in the late 50's, the result of a collaboration between internationally acclaimed songwriter Paul Simon and Nobel Prize winning Trinidadian poet Derek Walcott. This Latino Folk Opera borrows heavily from the popular music of the time spiked with a heady mix of African and Caribbean influences. Based on the true story of a New York street gang murder and the eventual reprieve and redemption of the murderer - the youngest person ever to escape death row.
