The Good Scout archiveThe Hitler Youth are on their way to England as the guests of British boy scouts. Yes, it really happened! It's 1938 and with war looming, Rover Scouts Will and Jacob, two young men on the cusp of manhood, eagerly await the visit. But MI5 are not so welcoming. Are these healthy, strong young Germans on their bicycles just cyclists, or 'spyclists'? Are they coming in the name of peace and friendship, or is there a more sinister reason for their trips around airfields and the taking of photographs? And when one of the scouts falls in love with patrol leader Gerhard, whose father is a general in the Luftwaffe and friend of Hitler, what then for international relations?
