At the month's end the Moon vanishes into the dark and fathomless Fens, Bogles, Dead Things and Crawling Horrors rise out of the Bog Lands and take advantage of the Darkness to terrorise country folk and travellers alike. Fantasy, fear and reality become inseparable, until Lucas, a visiting lamp seller throws light on the situation.
