The Presentment archiveTruth, tragedy, guilt and resentment all converge in The Presentment; a modern-day, ecclesiastical heresy trial based upon true events. Addressing issues surrounding same-sex marriage, The Presentment is a trial of family and faith, as one priest struggles to save his church from heresy, a family is forced to face the truth of their past when secrets are uncovered and old wounds resurface. Rev. Samuel Jennings, is the Prosecutor in a trial against Parish Priest, David Thompson. In his passion to save the Church , he overlooks the diverse relationship in his own family. When he and his wife arrive in New York City for the trial, they visit their son and daughter-in-law who share their apartment with a friend - Samuel s former organist. Forced to face the truth of their past, the family struggle to find a middle ground whilst navigating long-standing values and staying true to their core believes. Samuel is forced to make a decision, to proceed or abandon his role as Prosecutor for The Presentment.
