Louis Litvanov, a shoe manufacturer, finds himself outside a house from which comes the sounds of a wedding. Recognising a voices and realising it is the wedding of one of his employees, Litvanov persuades himself that if he joins the wedding guests he will be warmly greeted for calling in to wish them well. Persuaded to stay as an honoured guest he slowly becomes drunk and the wedding party evolves into a comic, chilling disaster.
