Six ladies looking to make the transition from flab to fab enrol with the 'Slim for Life' dieting club. Can Jean a wife, mother and overworker, beat the battle of the bulge? Will Celia a retired housewife, win the wrestle with the wardrobe? Together with Claudette, Lucinda, Rosie and Kelly, Siobhan - Achiever of the Year '94, exhorts them to follow her life, ideals and follow her five-stage plan but is loathe to allow her disciples to succeed too well and let them go. 'Remember, girls - not slim for today. Not slim for tomorrow. But slim for life!'
