John Martin released his debut album Dawning on the F-Ire label in 2011. Described as one of the most pleasing discoveries of 2011, the album responds to a wide range of inspiration, from English jazz and folk to Wayne Shorter and downtown New York, and has received praise from both the great Kenny Wheeler and Iain Bellamy.
