Based on one of the most popular pieces of classical music for children, Peter & the Wolf Live is a magical theatrical experience for the whole family. The stunningly beautiful Oscar ®-winning film Peter & the Wolf brings to life Prokofiev’s classic introduction to the orchestra through the enthralling story of a brave boy called Peter and his quest to defeat the wolf. In this unique production the orchestra’s instruments take on character roles, with the narrator introducing the lovable Duck, represented by the oboe, and the grumpy Grandfather, brought to life by the bassoon. These images are projected onto a large screen above the stage, bringing the darkly magical world of Peter & the Wolf alive. Southbank Centre presents Peter& the Wolf Live in association with Breakthru Films.
