The Low Anthem won the acclaim of the music press with the melancholic but majestic Oh My God, Charlie Darwin. Recorded on a small, secluded island off the coast of Rhode Island, its chamber-folk hymnals saw the band emerge as one of the most talked-about US groups. Now they return with their new album Smart Flesh, which, like its predecessor, promises to be one of the records of the year.
