A night of fiery flamenco music and dance! Brother and sister duo Jose and Ana Duenas Leon’s new show features dances which embody sun and shade. The music and steps reflect both the vibrant heat of summer sun and the drama and mystery of night fall. Dynamic footwork and movement will balance the passion, sensuality and warmth which define flamenco spirit. Jose and Ana will be joined by fellow members of their six-piece company to perform the show which uniquely links the dancers with the audience. Jose and Ana have been immersed in flamenco from an early age, performing at family fiestas and gatherings at their home in Cordoba, Andalucia. They now both perform in Spain and the UK as well as running courses on flamenco dance and guitar. They have appeared on Meridian, BBC and Channel 4 and were filmed as part of the Formula 1 Grand Prix celebrations after Fernando Alonso won. Ana has trained with some of the best flamenco teachers in Spain including Belen and Mario Maya, Mercedez Ruiz and Ciro. She has been teaching for over 9 years and runs Academia Flamenca in Brighton. She also runs flamenco dance holidays in Granada, Andalucía as well as seminars and workshops throughout the UK.
