The Shakespeare Schools Festival offers young people from every secondary school the opportunity and support to perform abridged productions of Shakespeare's most famous plays in their local professional theatre. Following workshops with the UK's National Youth Theatre and a six month journey of rehearsal, these talented young people are now ready to step into the Shakespearean spotlight. The Festival, supported by The National Assembly, offers secondary school pupils an opportunity to perform abridged Shakespeare plays in a professional theatre environment. Of 100 productions originally performed in 11 venues throughout Wales in October, this evening will present 4 plays to guest including Jenny Randerson AM. An appraisal by Terry Hands, Director of Clwyd Theatr Cymru, will conclude the evening.
