Side by Side is part of the Royal Opera House's ongoing partnership with Southbank Sinfonia - an orchestra formed of young professional musicians. They are mentored by members of the Orchestra of the Royal Opera House to help in the further development of their professional careers. The partnership programme includes coaching sessions, mock auditions and a variety of performance opportunities throughout the Season. This concert in the Linbury Studio Theatre provides a showcase for the orchestra. Presented by Nigel Cliffe, the evening will include some of the best-known works for opera and ballet. The orchestra will be joined by singers from the Jette Parker Young Artist programme and dancers from The Royal Ballet, and conducted by Barry Wordsworth and Paul Wynne Griffiths.
